Reading Streets Planning Guide

I have been working my fingers off to put together a little booklet that I plan on using to help me plan my lessons this year.

I have done this for all 6 units of the 2nd grade Reading Street Common Core edition of our series.  I plan on putting this up in my teachers pay teachers store (as a word document) as soon as it has been proofread and edited.  If this looks like something you could use I will email it to the first 3 people to comment for free in exchange for  you to proofread it and let me know if you see any mistakes.

All of the skills covered in the text book are listed at the top.  I plan on using those and the skills that my students need to highlight the strategies I will teach each week.  I am going to print the entire document out and bind it with our binding machine at school.  Please let me know if you think of anything else that would be helpful to add to this.

  2. I was drawn in by the color coding. I don't use Reading Street, but I do use Daily 5 and CAFE. If you're still looking for help proofreading I'd be happy to help :) Stop by my blog for a visit sometime.

  3. I love this document. I know it would be useful to help me organize my lessons in Reading Street. The color coding makes it easy to use and attractive. I also use Reading Street and Cafe. I love them.

  8. Jennifer,
Just ran across this post today- wished I would have seen it last weekend- that's my luck- a day late and dollar short. I can wait to see what you have created on TPT. If you still need some proof readers, I would be honored to help you out. I use both Reading Street and Daily 5 so this is the perfect resource. Again, please let me know if I can help with proof reading, email me at loradrum@yahoo.com
    Good luck!

  12. I have looked at this a little closer and you could offer the template with all of the cafe strategies and then teachers could fill in the info for their own curriculum. I would be interested in this for sure!

  15. I noticed in your Tpt Store that you made these for 2nd and 3rd grade. Are you planning on making one for 1st grade too?

  16. Yes, I am making this for the 1st grade teachers at my school next week. It will not be labeled daily 5 anywhere though. I did not realize you were not supposed to sell anything with Daily 5 on it until someone graciously pointed it out today. I sure don't want to be doing anything illegal. It should be on TPT next week.
