I have done this for all 6 units of the 2nd grade Reading Street Common Core edition of our series. I plan on putting this up in my teachers pay teachers store (as a word document) as soon as it has been proofread and edited. If this looks like something you could use I will email it to the first 3 people to comment for free in exchange for you to proofread it and let me know if you see any mistakes.
All of the skills covered in the text book are listed at the top. I plan on using those and the skills that my students need to highlight the strategies I will teach each week. I am going to print the entire document out and bind it with our binding machine at school. Please let me know if you think of anything else that would be helpful to add to this.
Jennifer! I love your blog! You have been one busy girl!!

I was drawn in by the color coding. I don't use Reading Street, but I do use Daily 5 and CAFE. If you're still looking for help proofreading I'd be happy to help :) Stop by my blog for a visit sometime.

I love this document. I know it would be useful to help me organize my lessons in Reading Street. The color coding makes it easy to use and attractive. I also use Reading Street and Cafe. I love them.

Me again. I just had to come back and check this out again. I totally agree, the color coding and set up is wonderful. It is sooo interesting to look at. Nice work! I just wish I could see it a bit large.

ReplyDeleteJennifer,
ReplyDeleteJust ran across this post today- wished I would have seen it last weekend- that's my luck- a day late and dollar short. I can wait to see what you have created on TPT. If you still need some proof readers, I would be honored to help you out. I use both Reading Street and Daily 5 so this is the perfect resource. Again, please let me know if I can help with proof reading, email me at loradrum@yahoo.com
Good luck!
Wow! This is great! I wished we used Reading Streets - we use Treasures and I was thinking of creating something similar. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteJennifer this is amazing! I can't wait to see what it looks like! I have been working on a something similar using the Literacy Cafe, Reading with meaning, and Daily Five tying all of them together and making a years worth of ideas like you have done! This is amazing!!! I wish we used Reading Streets :(, we use Scholastic.
ReplyDeleteI am an excellent proof-reader -- too bad I didn't find this in time - lol.
ReplyDeleteIt is an AWESOME resource and I will be sure to get my hands on it!! Thank you for sharing your hard work!
I have looked at this a little closer and you could offer the template with all of the cafe strategies and then teachers could fill in the info for their own curriculum. I would be interested in this for sure!
ReplyDeleteThese are now in my tpt store.
ReplyDeleteJennifer
Are they editable?
ReplyDeleteYes. I left them in Word format.
ReplyDeleteGreat! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI noticed in your Tpt Store that you made these for 2nd and 3rd grade. Are you planning on making one for 1st grade too?
ReplyDeleteYes, I am making this for the 1st grade teachers at my school next week. It will not be labeled daily 5 anywhere though. I did not realize you were not supposed to sell anything with Daily 5 on it until someone graciously pointed it out today. I sure don't want to be doing anything illegal. It should be on TPT next week.
ReplyDeleteCan I get a copy of this for second grade!
ReplyDeleteMay I get a copy for 2nd grade. Will proofread if you need more people to do so.
ReplyDeleteI just came across this looking for Reading street and lessons and would love to help you with proofreading if you still need help.

ReplyDeleteThis is amazing! Is it available for download?
ReplyDeleteJennifer, this is absolutely amazing! I am desperate to get a copy of this as I am not only new to the Reading Street series but I am starting my first year in 2nd grade this year! I was previously in Kindergarten and therefore am trying to create new materials from scratch. Is this available for download!? I would LOVE LOVE to have a copy of this to help me guide my year. lindsay.d.krieger@gmail.com
